HPMGL

HPMGL stands for Hari Pari Mandala Ghosti Ladies and is an international movement founded by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti in India. Its primary focus is on spreading kiirtan-devotional chanting, music, and dance-as a spiritual practice for meditation and the upliftment of society, especially through women’s groups. Women form small bands to propagate devotional songs and dance, creating powerful spiritual vibrations that promote bliss, peace, and spiritual progress.
Kiirtan, in this context, involves chanting sacred mantras like “Ba’ba’ Na’m Kevalam” with precise rhythm and feeling, which is believed to purify the mind and body, facilitate meditation, and generate collective positive energy that can help dispel physical and psychic troubles. The practice is deeply devotional and is said to awaken spiritual sentiments and bring joy both to the chanters and listeners.
HPMGL also emphasizes the use of traditional instruments like the mrdanga drum to support the chanting and maintain the meditative atmosphere. The devotional dance associated with kiirtan, called Lalita Marmika, expresses inner spiritual joy and surrender through specific gestures.
In summary, HPMGL is dedicated to the spiritual practice and dissemination of kiirtan and devotional music by women, supporting both individual spiritual growth and broader social upliftment through the power of collective devotional singing and dancing
