What is Girls PROUT (GP)?
Girls PROUT is a section within the Ananda Marga movement dedicated to empowering young girls and women through the principles of PROUT (Progressive Utilization Theory), which is a socio-economic and spiritual philosophy founded by Shrii Shrii Anandamurti. PROUT emphasizes economic democracy, social justice, and the balanced development of all aspects of life.
Aim and Focus of Girls PROUT:
• Empowerment of girls and young women by nurturing their physical, mental, and spiritual growth.
• Promoting self-confidence, leadership, and social awareness among girls.
• Encouraging active participation in community service, education, and social transformation.
• Supporting girls in understanding and practicing the values of PROUT, such as cooperation, sustainable development, and social welfare.
• Creating a supportive sisterhood to foster solidarity, mutual help, and spiritual upliftment.
Girls PROUT groups often organize educational programs, workshops, cultural activities, and social service projects aimed at building a strong foundation for girls to become conscious, empowered individuals who can contribute positively to society.
Why Girls PROUT?
Girls PROUT recognizes that empowering girls is essential for building a just and sustainable society. By combining spiritual growth with social awareness and practical skills, GP helps girls become self-reliant, compassionate, and socially responsible women who can contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.
